Lady Leafs Rebound From Quincy Loss With Two Big Wins At TOC Tourney!

The Lady Leafs dropped a tough 5-1 contest at WB6 leading Quincy on Tuesday April 23 but rebounded with a solid performance in the Tournament of Champions at the TBK Bank Sports Complex. On a rain soaked Friday, Mia Kelly and Hanna Kreiner each scored in the Leafs shutout win over the Redhawks of Chicago Marist. The following day, GHS rallied from a two goal halftime deficit to defeat Vel Phillips Memorial (Madison, WI) in a 5-4 penalty shoot-out. Ava DeSplinter scored both regulation goals in the rally and Addison Espe scored the shoot-out game winner. Next Up: Rock Island at home for Senior Night (6:00pm).

Lady Leafs Participate In The 2024 BODYARMOR Sports Series.

The 2024 Lady Leaf soccer team competed in the 22nd Annual BODYARMOR Girls Soccer Series On Saturday April 13 in Waukegan. Katlyn Seaman and Ava DeSplinter each scored first half goals to give GHS a 2-0 halftime lead. The unbeaten Warriors however rallied for three second half goals to earn the 3-2 win over the Lady Leafs. Later in the day, Rockford Boylan Catholic defeated GHS 3-0. The Lady Leafs picked up their second win of the season on Thursday evening at GHS as they scored three consecutive second half goals to defeat Washington 3-1! Penalty Kicks Send Undefeated UTHS To Win Over The Lady Leafs

A slugfest at the GHS pitch on Thursday March 28 saw UTHS rally from a 1-0 halftime deficit to tie the Lady Leafs 1-1. The visiting Panthers however won out 4-3 on penalty kicks to remain undefeated on the season while GHS fell to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

Lady Leaf Soccer Picks Up First Win Of 2024!

The 2024 Lady Leafs soccer team travelled to Dixon High School on Thursday evening where they picked up their first win of the season 5-1 over the host Duchesses. The victory comes on the heels of a couple tough early season losses to state power Peoria Notre Dame (4-0) and Western Big 6 foe Moline (4-1). Next Up: Home vs United Township this Tuesday (6:00pm).

Leaf Season Ends In Regional Semifinals.

The 2023 season for Maple Leaf soccer came to an end on Wednesday October 20th as the #4 seeded Ottawa Pirates defeated #8 seeded GHS 1-0 in the IHSA 3A Galesburg Regional Semifinals. The Leaf finish off the season with a 1-14 overall record and 1-6 in Western Big Six play. The lone win for GHS came on October 3rd as they defeated Alleman 2-1 on Senior Night.

Leafs Wrap Up 2023 Regular Season In Quincy.

The Geneseo Maple Leafs Boys Soccer team wrapped up the 2023 regular season on Tuesday October 10 in Quincy where the host Blue Devils picked up the 3-1 victory. GHS finished 1-6 in WB6 play and are currently 1-13 overall.

Next Up: At the Galesburg Regional where the #8 seeded Leafs will face #4 seeded Ottawa on Wednesday October 18 (7:00pm) at Galesburg High Schools Van Dyke Field.
